Mina Mond is a French painter, close to Outsider Art and visionary Art...
She defined her work as black naive. She never sketches, she expects sorts of illuminations or the images appear built in her mind. Mina Mond thinks that this approach to medieval art comes from her long practice of clairvoyance and spiritism. She generates her images by walking in nature but above all by listening to music thus creating an altered state of mind. She uses the same methods to heal herself. She has practiced for some time the shamanic drum that completes her quest for spirituality.
In a second time her painting is prayer. Hatches and points become meditation. Helena compares her work to the monks illuminators who pray throughout their work.
